Operate the Launch Control System

Any adult volunteer with attention to detail who can perform the duties required
Job Description
Operate the Launch Control System under the direction of the LCO
Ensure that only the designated bank of pads is selected on the Launch Control System
Disable launch capability in the event of an emergency
Ensure that all banks of pads are de-selected except immediately before a launch
It is critical that the Launch Assist be extraordinarily careful to select the correct bank of pads and the correct pad for the rocket being launched. We do not want to accidently launch the wrong rocket. We especially do not want to accidently launch a rocket when there are people next to the rocket accidently launched.
