STEM Night - Neil Armstrong Academy

About this event

STEM Night - Neil Armstrong Academy

We have another School planning an upcoming STEAM/STEM night and would love to have you there to support STEM/STEAM activities to families who will be attending. At these events we have the opportunity to talk about Rocketry with students and their families. We will setup a table with some panel boards that have photos and general information about rocketry and the basic physics involved. We also have a mix of High Power and Low Power demo rockets that we put on display.

This event is designed to engage students and families in hands-on learning experiences related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our goal is to inspire curiosity, highlight real-world applications of STEM, and introduce students to potential educational and career pathways within these fields.

Your involvement would make a meaningful impact on our students by connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences. We would be happy to provide any additional information you may need and accommodate any specific requirements for your participation.

Volunteers are welcome to and encouraged to bring their own rockets and electronics to show off.

Volunteers can expect to:

  • Answer questions about Rocketry
  • Demonstrate how a rocket works
  • Talk about motors and motor sizes
  • Share their joy and enthusiasm for the hobby
