UROC Showcases Rocketry at Matheson Junior High STEM Night

Outreach | Published on 4/16/2025

Members of the Utah Rocket Club (UROC) had the opportunity to share their passion for rocketry with students, families, and educators during STEM Night at Matheson Junior High School in Magna, Utah. Representing the club were Neal Baker, Tim Boschert, and Rob Hansen, with David Anisman leading the group’s participation in the event.

The UROC booth featured a static display packed with eye-catching rockets of all shapes and sizes, as well as a wide variety of motors and related equipment. The team engaged with curious students and their parents throughout the evening, answering questions and sparking conversations about everything from rocket construction and flight dynamics to safety procedures and certification levels.

Events like this are a core part of UROC’s outreach mission, helping to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and hobbyists by making rocketry accessible and exciting. The club appreciates the warm welcome from Matheson Jr. High and looks forward to future opportunities to support STEM education in the community.
