It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of our good friend Frank Hunt. Frank passed away over Labor Day weekend after a short but courageous fight with Lung Cancer. For those of us that have had the priviledge of knowing Frank, his humor and good spirits will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Frank’s life will held at a later date to be announced. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dot and her family at this difficult time. |

HellFire 14 is the big story in the April 2010 issue of Rockets Magazine. The magazine is the Official Magazine of the Tripoli Rocketry Association. The magazine was mailed out to subscribers on March 31st and it will take 3-4 week for delivery.
The attention from this article will surely bring increased interest to HellFire 15. Rockets Magazine is published 6 times a year. The cover prices is $6.95 and a 6 issue subscription is $41.70 (US Subscription only). The magazine is very often available in local hobby shops as well but tends to sell out very quickly.
Mark Canepa (the author of the article) attended the HellFire 14 launch for all four days and took some fantastic shots of the event. Mark is also the brain behind "Modern High-Power Rocketry - An Illustrated How-to-Guide" and his newest book "Modern High-Power Rocketry 2." Both of these books contain detailed explanations of all aspects of high-power rocketry and are fully illustrated. Mark's excellent detailed writing style makes these books an excellent addtion to any rocketeer's library.

Please note: You have to be a current Tripoli member to fly at this launch. Rules are rules, right?
Research is not just about self mixed motor propellant (hint read the rules), and yes you can fly commercial motors within your certification. You may even certify at a research launch!
