UROC's Own Acheivement program. Extending the challenges and skill-learning started by the NAR and Tripoli Certification programs. The PrizeFlight program is an ever-developing set of challenges open to all UROC members. Recognition by other UROC members and knowledge of a job-well-done are two of the main benefits to PrizeFlight participants.



ALT Program

Before your flight, you have to declare that this is an "ALT" attempt.  Decide on which ALT level you are going for: 3K, 6K or 9K.  Fly the rocket and recover it safely.  If the flight is not safe, it doesn't qualify as a successful flight.   You need to show the altitude that your rocket acheived.  You can do this with a barometric altimeter, or two station optical tracking with a 10% closure.  Single axis accelerometers are not considered accurate enough.
